Franklin County, Va. (March 27, 2026) – The Franklin County Family YMCA is excited to announce that beginning April 1, members will have the opportunity to take advantage of 24/7 Extended-Hour Access at the Rocky Mount YMCA location.

This new option is designed to give members greater flexibility to prioritize their health and wellness on their own schedule. Whether working late, rising early, or fitting in a workout during unconventional hours, members will soon be able to access the facility whenever it works best for them.

“Life gets busy, and we want to make it easier for our members to stay committed to their wellness goals,” said Jesse Taylor, Membership Coordinator. “Adding 24/7 access allows people in our community to use the Y in a way that fits their lifestyle.”

Extended-hour access will begin 30 minutes after the facility closes each evening and continue through early morning before normal operating hours resume. During these extended hours, members will have access to:

  • The upstairs workout area
  • Upstairs restroom facilities

For the safety and security of members and the facility, the locker rooms, pool area, gymnasium, and walking track will remain closed during 24/7 access hours.

Members who wish to participate in the program can enroll with:

  • A $25 setup fee (which includes the initial access card)
  • A $5 monthly maintenance fee for extended-hour access
  • Replacement access cards available for $20

The YMCA hopes this new offering will help more community members stay active and maintain healthy habits despite busy schedules.
