For well over a hundred years,

in communities all across the land, YMCAs have offered the highest quality programs for children. “The YMCA Way” stands for the very best in enrichment and learning opportunities for children in fun and games, sports and skills development, swimming and outdoor activities, and in character development. At the YMCA, the focus is on being the very best we can be, so that our children can become the very best that they can be.

Our Childcare Programs are designed to provide parents a place for their children to go and grow from preschooler through middle school - a safe place where kids can come to have fun and experience what the YMCA has to offer. We hope to provide all children with learning experiences that will help them grow in spirit, mind, and body. There will be age-appropriate games, fitness activities, homework help, as well as swimming throughout the year. While we do believe that FUN should come first, our purpose is to provide activities that will help each child grow spiritually, mentally, and physically.

Another thing that makes YMCA Childcare Programs special is our emphasis on character development. YMCA Character Development emphasizes the four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Throughout all of our programming, these four values are the basis for becoming a YMCA KID. We want all of our participants to experience Character Development emphasis, whether it is showing sportsmanship in a game or helping a fellow child clean up a mess. We want all of our children to leave our program each time knowing that Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility are important and should be practiced not only while they are in a YMCA program, but also during school and at home.
